I think it must have been written about Gwyneth Paltrow, who seems to have green eyes and is married to the lead singer of Coldplay.
I've always wanted to know who the song "Yellow". It's the sort of song you wish someone would write for you. I would never want to bleed someone dry (!), but it would be moving to have it said to you.
